Alumni Fakultas Hukum Unsri Kenang Tragedi Lakalantas 28 Tahun Silam

Tepat 28 tahun silam, tragedi kecelakaan lalu lintas (Lakalantas) merenggun enam mahasiswa Universitas Sriwijaya pada 9 Desember.

Sebagai bentuk doa kepada para sahabat-sahabatnya, sejumlah Alumni Fakultas Hukum Unsri menggelar pertemuan dan doa secara virtual.

Tepat 28 tahun yang lalu, terjadi kecelakaan maut yang melibatkan satu bus mahasiswa di tikungan Stasiun Kereta Api (KA) Simpang, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir.

Dalam peristiwa itu, enam mahasiswi FH Unsri Angkatan 1993 yang baru pulang kuliah dari Kampus Indralaya ke Kampus Bukit Besar, terenggut nyawanya.

Keenam mahasiswi itu yakni Anita Handayani, Intan Suryani, Mery Marlina, Agustina Sriganti, Dewi Susiana dan Nelly.

Selain para mahasiswi, dalam peristiwa itu juga meninggal kondektur bus nahas, Rizalman.

Diketahui, bus kota yang dipakai sebagai angkutan mahasiswa Unsri pulang pergi dari Palembang – Indralaya, 9 Desember 2022, sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB hendak pulang ke Kampus di Palembang.

Bus tersebut penuh dengan mahasiswa FH Unsri Angkatan 1993, dan beberapa mahasiswa dari fakultas lain.

Sejak meninggalkan kampus Indralaya, bus tersebut dikemudikan secara ugal-ugalan.

Sampai di tikungan Stasiun KA Simpang, Indralaya, bus tersebut terbalik dan sempat terseret beberapa meter di bahu jalan.

Enam orang mahasiswi meninggal dunia dalam kejadian itu, termasuk kondektur bus nahas tersebut yang terpental ke luar saat bus terbalik.

Salah satu saksi hidup dalam kejadian itu, Azim Baidillah Moehsin SH MH, mengaku peristiwa itu masih terus terbayang hingga kini.

“Bagaimana tidak, kami saat itu sama sekali tidak ada firasat bakal menjadi korban kecelakaan maut, kami semua sedang senang-senangnya belajar di kampus FH Unsri,” ujar pria yang kini menjadi Kasi Pelayanan Media Informasi Publik di Dinas Kominfo Provinsi Sumsel ini.

Diakui Azim, memang sejak meninggalkan gerbang kampus Unsri, bus seperti dikemudikan dengan serampangan.

“Sopirnya terus tancap gas, seperti ada yang dikejar Saya mulai was-was saat bus lewat jembatan dekat tikungan Stasiun Simpang, dan benar terjadi, saat bus berbelok ke kanan, ban bagian kanan bus terangkat dan kemudian bus terbalik ke kiri jalan,’’ papar Azim.

Azim menambahkan, kecelakaan itu menyebabkan 6 rekannya berpulang ke Rahmatulllah.

“Hanya karena tak disiplin mengemudi, 6 nyawa penerus bangsa pun tercabut paksa,” ungkap Azim yang mengaku hingga kini masih kerap merasa trauma jika melalui lokasi kejadian

Ditambahkan alumni FH Unsri yang lain, Mardini Rizkiani SH yang kini aktif sebagai Notaris di Palembang, sebagai tanda duka dan selalu ingat terhadap para rekan mahasiswi yang berpulang dalam tragedi bus maut itu, sejak tahun kejadian hingga 28 tahun kemudian, para alumni FH Unsri, khususnya Angkatan 1993, selalu menggelar doa bersama.

“Karena dua tahun lalu kita dibekap pandemi Covid, maka yasinan kita gelar secara daring via zoom, dan diikuti alumni FH Unsri Angkatan 1993 yang kini berada di berbagai kota di Indonesia,” papar Dini.

Sedangkan Ketua Ikatan Mahasiswa Hukum (IMH) Angkatan 1993, KM Nuruddin SH, yang kini merupakan Direktur Group Perbendaharaan LPS (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan) di Jakarta, mengakui tragedi bus maut yang terjadi pada 9 Desember 1994 tak lepas dari belum rapinya moda angkutan mahasiswa Unsri ke Kampus Indralaya.

“Bus mahasiswa khusus yang dimiliki Unsri masih minim, jadi hanya menggunakan bus kota yang dijadikan bus mahasiswa. Jumlahnya pun tidak banyak, belum lagi dari segi keamanan, juga sangat minim,” ungkap Nuruddin.

Dengan kian maju dan rapinya pola transportasi mahasiswa Unsri ke Kampus Indralaya saat ini, Nuruddin berharap agar peristiwa kecelakaan yang merenggut mahasiswa saat pergi dan pulan dari Kampus Indralaya dapat dihindari.

“Saya lihat sekarang sudah lebih tertata, bus angkutan mahasiswa sudah banyak, jadi tidak ada alasan peristiwa serupa terjadi lagi,” tukas

Nuruddin seraya berharap, para mahasiswa Unsri kini bisa kuliah dengan tenang karena keselamatan mereka pulang pergi ke Kampus Indralaya sudah terjamin.
